You Will Make Mistakes
The Gospel Freedom Every Recovering Perfectionist Needs
You've tried harder. You've prayed harder. You've promised yourself that next time you'll finally get it right.
Yet somehow, the pressure remains.
The fear of failure. The fear of disappointing others. The fear of disappointing God.
If you've spent years believing that your worth rises and falls with your performance, You Will Make Mistakes offers a different way forward.
Not through striving, and not through self-improvement.
But through the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ.
What If Your Mistakes Aren't The End Of Your Story?
Many Christian women live under the weight of perfectionism without even realizing it.
They serve faithfully, love deeply, and desire to honor God — but underneath it all is a quiet exhaustion. A constant feeling that they should be doing more, being more, and getting it right more often.
My friend, I know that struggle firsthand.
In this honest but hope-filled book, I share my own journey from performance-driven faith to a deeper understanding of God's grace, revealing how the gospel frees us from the impossible burden of perfection.
This book is for you if
You constantly replay mistakes in your mind
You struggle with feelings of guilt, shame, or "never enough"
You find it difficult to receive grace for yourself
You fear disappointing God or other people
You feel trapped by unrealistic expectations
You long to experience the freedom you've heard other Christians talk about
Through personal stories, biblical truth, and practical encouragement, you'll discover how to:
Break free from the exhausting cycle of striving and self-condemnation
Understand the difference between conviction and shame
Replace fear of failure with confidence in God's grace
Find peace when life doesn't go according to plan
Stop measuring your worth by your performance
Live loved instead of constantly trying to earn love
Why I Had To Write This Book
Why I Had To Write This Book
For years, I knew all the right answers.
I knew God was gracious. I knew salvation was by faith. I knew Jesus had paid the price for my sin.
But somewhere along the way, I started living as though God's love depended on my performance — instead of His grace.
Perfectionism disguised itself as responsibility … as diligence … as spiritual maturity.
And beneath it all … was fear: Fear of failure. Fear of disappointing others. Fear of disappointing God.
Then God began opening my eyes to something I had heard my entire life but had never fully understood: His grace wasn't merely what saved me — it was what would sustain me.
The more I encountered the truth of the gospel, the more I realized that Jesus never asked me to earn what He had already secured.
My worth was not rooted in my performance — and God's love was not hanging in the balance every time I made a mistake.
That revelation changed everything.
This book was born from that journey.
My prayer is that as you read these pages, you'll discover the same freedom I did — the freedom to stop striving, stop hiding, stop carrying the impossible weight of perfection, and finally rest in the grace of the God who loves you more than you can imagine.
Because you will make mistakes.
I certainly have.
But God's grace is greater than every one of them.
