From Stressed to Blessed: Why Grace Isn’t Just for Salvation | 005
You may believe that Jesus saved you by grace — and still live as though keeping His love depends on how well you perform. You read your Bible, pray, serve, try to control your thoughts, and work hard to make fewer mistakes. Yet underneath all that effort, there may still be a quiet fear that God is disappointed in you or that one wrong move could push you outside His good graces.
This is where Christian perfectionism becomes especially exhausting. We receive grace as our entrance into the Kingdom, but then begin acting as though we must qualify for it again every day. Instead of resting in what Christ has already given us, we return to rule keeping, self-sufficiency, and the spiritual scorecard — trying to perfect ourselves into worthiness.
But grace was never meant to be a one-time gift that gets you into heaven. It is God’s sustaining power for your everyday mistakes, weaknesses, struggles, and imperfect steps. In this episode, we are learning how to stop striving our way toward grace and begin receiving the grace that is already here. Sis, you are not failing. You are learning to trust, rest, and walk with God one imperfect step at a time.
